Tinuy-an Falls

The Tinuy-an Falls in Bislig City, Surigao del Sur is considered the widest waterfall in the Philippines. Often referred to as the ‘Niagara of the Philippines,’ the four-level cascading Tinuy-an Falls is 95 meters wide and 55 meters high.

The first drop of Tinuy-an Falls

A few local kids were playing with these fruits. Using a little creativity and imagination, they transformed these fruits into a working toy-car.

The second drop of Tinuy-an Falls

To get to the second drop, you will have to climb up a narrow staircase. The entire place is wet the whole year round. So, even the small twigs you see protruding from rocks are teeming with life.

The fourth and final drop of Tinuy-an Falls

Locals cross a man-made bamboo bridge to get to the other side of the river.

Hoping to get lucky, these two men wait patiently for their first catch.
